LAYER CAKE
The ‚Layer Cake‘ project has been created on a basis of overlaying artistic elements, all in a creative combination of painting, cooking and photoshop-sketches. The artist created a series of amazing and bizarre pictorial collages with historical elements in classic structures of painting. As an homage to the heritage of Europe and its mythological contexts, the artist builds his own world.
THE WAR OF THE WORLD
This series of works includes several projects, such as ‘Gods and Heroes’ 2010, ‘Strangers’ 2012 and ‘Puzzles’ 2014. The Artists seeks to show the parallels of mass culture and European classics. Good and evil in two worlds and two mythologies, superheroes that fight supervillains. A. Nekrashevich wonderfully intertwined bizarre motives and extravagant characters, cartoons and comics into a mix of European mythology and creating some sort of actual perception.
